A watermark states the status of a document at a glance. "DRAFT" on an unsigned contract, "CONFIDENTIAL" on a quote, a company name on a portfolio sample, a purpose note on a copy of an ID. The text sits on top of the page, so it shows on screen and on paper.
Four settings control the look. Text size runs from 8 to 120 points, and about 60 works for a large stamp across the page. Opacity between 20 and 30 percent keeps the document readable, while higher values push the mark forward. The angle can be flat, 45 or minus 45 degrees. The position is the center or one of the four corners, and a corner keeps tables clear.
The watermark is drawn over the page content and does not stay as a separate layer. That makes removal hard for an ordinary reader. A determined person can still strip it with a PDF editor, so treat it as a deterrent.
If the document leaves your office, you may want a password next to the mark. "Protect PDF" adds one with AES-256.

Does my file go to a server?
No. The watermark is drawn in your browser. Your file never leaves your computer.
Can the watermark be removed?
The text is drawn onto the page and is not a separate layer. Someone with a PDF editor can still take it out. Treat a watermark as a mark that discourages copying, not as a lock.
Are accented letters supported?
Yes. Turkish letters and other Latin accents are printed correctly.
Which opacity should I pick?
20 to 30 percent leaves a mark without blocking the text. Go above 50 percent when the reader must see the draft status at once.
What is the size limit?
200 MB per file and 50 files at a time. Pro allows 2 GB.
Can I stamp only some pages?
Yes. Type a list such as 1, 4-8 in the page box. An empty box stamps every page.
