Banks, insurers and phone companies send statements as protected PDFs. The password is often part of an ID number or a date of birth. You type it every time you open the file, and you have to send it separately when you forward the document. For an archive that setup fails.
This tool removes the open password. It decrypts the file with the password you supply and writes an unlocked copy. Pages, the text layer, bookmarks and form fields stay the same, and only the encryption layer goes. Restrictions that block printing or text copying are lifted in the same step.
The tool does not break passwords. It does not guess and it does not try combinations. You must know the password. Use it only on your own files, or on files you have the right to open.
The job runs on our server. The file travels over an encrypted connection, the password is never written to disk, and the file is deleted as soon as the job ends, within 1 hour at the latest.

Yes, because the work runs on our server. The password is never stored and is used for that job only. The file is deleted when the job ends, and within 1 hour at the latest.
Can I leave the password field empty?
Yes. If the file opens without a prompt but blocks printing or copying, leave the field empty. The restrictions are removed.
What are the limits?
Free use allows 50 MB per file and 20 jobs per day. Pro allows 2 GB per file.
Does the content change?
No. Pages, text and bookmarks stay the same. Only the encryption layer is removed.
